"You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you."- John Bunyan
Wonderful words which is a true reflection of the aims and objectives of the Alumni Association towards the underprivileged.
The Agnesian Alumni stepped up to spend time at this Old Age Home run by the Sisters of the Poor at Maroli, Mangalore on 25th August,2018. This was a part of the Independence Day celebrations and the Executive Committee members of the Association were dressed in Indian Flag colours.
A generous contribution of eatables by Alumni volunteers consisting of Milk, Bananas, Biscuits and other savories were handed over to the Superior Sister for the inmates of the Home. The inmates gathered in the Auditorium and a small programme was chalked out to entertain them that started with a Prayer Song, followed by patriotic songs that were subsequently continued with games. All of them were happy to participate and receive gifts as part of the winning and losing in the games. There was a dance performance and some of the inmates also took part in singing. Further the members visited the Handicrafts section where there was an exhibition and sale of the things made by the inmates and some of the members had bought them to support their cause. Talking to them and seeing the smile on their faces was heart-warming and an overwhelming experience.
