Department of Hindi

Hindi is our national and official language. The department of Hindi was established in 1948.. The department has attained high percentage of results every year. Intensive coaching is given to students and counselling is done at intervals. The staff members have attended a number of workshops, seminars, orientation courses and refresher courses as prescribed by the U.G.C. To promote the creative skills and talents of the students, the department conducts presentation of skits,quiz, extempore, dumb charades.

The Hindi Department conducted a guest lecture on the Hindi poem “Bangaal ka kaal”written by Harivanshrai Bachhan for the I degree B.Com students from 10:45 to 11:45a.m., on 20^th September  2011 in Room No. 4 Avila Block. The speaker was Dr.S.P.Vidya Kumar, Professor, H.O.D. of Hindi, Sri Mahaveera First Grade College, Moodbidri.

• Hindi Quiz competition for the staff
  

  To spread awareness regarding ‘Hindi Divas’and to give importance to the National Language, the Hindi Department conducted a department wise Hindi Quiz Competition for the   staff of St. Agnes College (Autonomous ) on 2^nd September 2011 and the prizes were distributed on Teachers day.

  The Hindi Department celebrated Hindi Day on 15^th September 2011. It was scheduled at 2:45 p.m. in the College Auditorium. The chief guest for the programme was Mr. Ranjay Singh, Principal of Hindi .B.Ed College Mangalore
