St Agnes College, Mangaluru, one of the leading women's colleges completes 100 years of education and service in the year 2020-21. As part of its on-going Centenary Celebration which was launched in January this year, the alumni organized a "Centenary Fiesta" on 15 and 16 December. The fiesta was held at the college campus and witnessed a huge crowd comprising alumni, students, staff, parents and well-wishers.
The programme began with an invocation by the college students after which the Principal, Sr Dr M Jeswina A.C. declared the Fiesta 2018 open. Sr Dr Venissa A.C. Vice Principal, Mrs Geanette D Souza, Agnesian Alumni Vice president, Mrs Blossom Rego, PTA Vice President, Mrs Emima David, Dean Science, Mrs Janet Pinto, Ms Ladlyn- representing the alumni, parents, faculty members, support staff and students body respectively were present.
The festivities began in full swing.The Fiesta comprised oflots of enjoyable games, multiple rounds of housie and food stalls selling tasty delicacies. The garage sale was a big success.Thanks to the amazing items contributed by the alumni. There was also a flea market which had exhibitors from across Mangalore showcasing western clothing, Indian wear, home accessories, paintings and many more goodies. There was a Centenary stall showcasing memorabilia like t-shirts, caps, wrist bands, badges and mugs, all of which will be available for the next two years leading up to the centenary. Visitors were kept entertained as the students put up amazing music and dance performances. Dr Malini Hebbar and Mrs Blossom Rego along with the help of students compeered programme. The Agnesian Alumni executive committee led by President and Principal Sr Jeswina A.C. and Vice President Geanette Dsouza, warmly thanks everyone for their time and support and looks forward to the same in their coming endeavours as they approach the centenary milestone in 2020-21.
