HINDI SANGH - 'PRATHIBHA' ANNUAL REPORT 2017-18
Dr. Shailaja Rai is the staff coordinator and Shravya. N II B.A is the secretary for the year 2017-18. 61 students have enrolled themselves for this academic year.
The following are the activities organized:
1.The Sangh has inculcated an activity 'Prathidin Ek Shabdh' where each day a Hindi word with its meaning in English and Kannada has been put up on the notice board near the college office. This is to create awareness among the students, teaching as well as Non-teaching staff to impart the basic understanding of Hindi vocabulary.
2.In the Sangh we started teaching students Hindi software Baraha through Hindi typing. It was taught every Saturday in the language lab in different batches. Every student has submitted their works which has been documented.
3.Every Saturday the Sangh conducts activities for the improvement of student's knowledge about the Hindi literature.
4. On 5-8-17 the Hindi Sangh "Prathibha" in association with the Rangers Association, Nature Club and Women's Cell organized a Guest lecture to commemorate the "INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR BREAST FEEDING ". The resource person was Dr. Chethana Bhat from Father Muller Hospital, Mangaluru.
5.On 20-9-17 Hindi Divas was celebrated. The Chief Guest was Dr.Suma T. Rodonawar, Head of the Department Hindi, University College, Mangaluru.
6.On 16-12-2018 Hindi Sangh and Human Rights Education cell students visited "Little Sisters of the Poor" orphanage as an extension activity. The students collected some useful items for the inmates and gave it to them after an interactive session with the inmates.
7.On 27-01-2018 a Hindi Quiz competition was organized for the students of the Sangh in order to test their knowledge regarding the subject.
8.On 17-02-2018 all the Hindi Sangh students engaged themselves in cleaning the campus. 9.On 24-02-2018 Hindi Sangh in collaboration with Kannada Sangha organized a Solo Singing Competition in languages Hindi, Kannada, Konkani, Tulu and Malayalam. This was conducted to commemorate the UNSECO declared Matribhasha Diwas.
