N.C.C. Guides and provides an suitable environment to develop Discipline, Responsibility, and Dynamism among the Students. This wil help the Students to not only join the Defence Services, but it will also help NCC Certificate Holders to avail various incentivs by State and Central Government in the field of Academics as well as Employments.
THE N.C.C. is one of the allied forces of the defence force. Here Cadets are trained like soldiers and trained to face any kind of hardships that come their way, and lead disciplined lives. The Cadets meet for regular parade every Saturday afternoon. They form the guard of honour for various college functions, and also celebrate national festivals. Annual features are parade at Nehru Maidan, Mangalore on Republic Day and Training Camps and National Integration Camps.
In 2005-06, which two Cadets attended the CATC Camp Phase I, seven attended the CATC Camp Phase II, both at Bangalore. 2 Cadets attended a National Integration Camp II at Asansol, West Bengal in 2007-08, 3 Cadets did so at a National Level Mountain Craft Camp.
In 2008-09, too, Cadets attended camp held in Mangalore, Shimoga and Bangalore. In 2009-10, apart from the regular camps, one Cadet attended a National Integration Camp in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, and many participated in a one-day trekking camp at Karinjeshwar.
Our Cadets have been winning awards at most of the camps they attended. 2 Cadets won the Second Place Overall Championship in the National Integration and Cultural Programme at Asansol, West Bengal (2007-08) and Cadet Lydwin D’Souza was adjudged Best Cadet at Annual Training Camp, Mangalore. Cadet Neha won the Best Cadet for Firing Range Discipline (2010-11). The Cadets also attended the Beach Cleanign Programme, Firing course and Aero Modeling held in Dakshina Kannada.



Ms. Dora D'Souza from III B Com. and Ms. Neha K. Rao from II B Com. attended the International Mountaineering Expedition organised by Nehru Institute of Mountaineering at Uttarkhashi from 20th May to June 29th, 2011.
