LIT-WIT LITERARY CLUB REPORT 2016-17
The Department of English initiative The Lit-Wit Literary Club was inaugurated on 20th June 2015 to help students sense literature's many pleasures and insights.
The Association had 48 students enrolled for the academic year 2016-17. Western Dramatics was introduced as a part of the Club to stage plays for the important college events.
As a part of their service activity the club conducted a cleanliness drive in the campus on 18 february 2017. All members of the club participated actively.
Throughout the semester the Association conducted various sessions for the members like debate, story telling, spoof making, usage of idioms, word games, anagrams, table topics, language drill etc. The Assocition's main contribution was towards the Christmas programme - NAVIDAD where the Club members put up a play 'A Super Christmas'.
The members were assigned the task of Script Writing as their assignment for the year. The students could select any category of drama like comedy, tragedy, christmas plays or social awareness plays and were asked to write the script.
First year students organized a short Valedictory Programme for the II year students on 11 March 2017 where they conducted English related activities. The service of the students during the NAAC visit was apprecited through a small token of gratitude by the faculty incharge.
