The valedictory ceremony of the post graduate diploma in guidance and counselling and also the initiation for the year 2018-19 batch were organised at St.Agnes PG Centre auditorium on 27th July 2018

The outgoing batch gave the audience an overview of what they had learned and experienced during their course and thanked the college and its faculty for transforming and empowering them. They said they now felt confident to reach out to the distressed and help them resolve their issues through professional counselling. Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest Dr Ashajyothi Rai, Chairperson, Aasare Charitable Trust, Mangalore lauded the AC (Apostalic Carmel) sisters for their selfless service in the field of education. She emphasised on 'Heal yourself, then Heal others'. She stressed by quoting Mahatma Gandhi 'How your beliefs become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become your values and your values become your destiny.' Congratulating the outgoing batch she gave away the diploma certificates to them.

An oath taking ceremony for the new batch 2018-19 was also held.. Dr Sr M.Jeswina, A.C., Principal St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangalore in her presidential address spoke of the joint family system and how today's children from nuclear families do not get attention even from their own parents. Sr M. Vinora A.C., Principal Clinical Psychology, Sr Dr Agatha Mary A.C., Former Superior General of the Apostolic Carmel COngregation, Dr Noeline Pinto PG Co-ordinator, and Mrs Lugina Miranda, Course co-ordinator were also present.
