Women Centre
The Women’s Centre is open at the Sophia block in the College.
The centre offers two certificate courses
- Women and their rights during the odd semester
- Women in Panchayat Raj during the even semester
The centre also offers a free training course for needy women in tailoring, cooking, preparation of commercial products and basics of computers.
A self-help group (SHG) named Spoorthi has been formed by the centre at Gorigudda which consists of 14 members and they meet once in two weeks on sundays at 4.00 p.m. The centre has a well equipped library which includes journals on women studies. It also has articles of publications on women issues. A well equipped computer lab is also accessible to the students.
